AHITY brings education to life through programs that strengthen minds, build skills, and nurture cultural pride.
Our work bridges the gap between one school year and the next — giving students the head start they need to succeed.
Each summer, children preparing to move from one grade to another — for example, from 3rd to 4th — receive guided instruction from qualified teachers who help them grasp new concepts, review past lessons, and gain confidence before the school year begins.
This additional time allows students to be tutored, mentored, and supported in a way that reinforces classroom learning and ignites curiosity for what’s ahead.
Where Learning Meets Purpose
The Summer Lessons Program
Every summer, AHITY hosts Summer Lessons at Mbaise Girls’ High School, Onicha-Mbaise.
The program blends academic learning with creative and social enrichment, helping middle and high school students stay engaged during school breaks.
Students get a leg up on the curriculum for the next term while exploring talents that spark confidence and curiosity.
Activities include:
Academic tutorials and study sessions
Basic skill acquisition (crafts, technology, language)
Cultural & social competency programs
Group mentorship and leadership exercises

These lessons don’t just improve grades — they restore community connection and empower youth to believe in their potential.
With your support, AHITY continues to expand its reach, giving more young people access to programs that educate both the mind and the heart.
